Featured Replies

Hi
Today i picked up this anvil. I live the Netherlands and I haven't ever seen a Trenton here.
The number on the foot is 70 225117. It's face is in very good condition. Can someone tell me when and were it was made. Thanks

The serial number 225117 was made between March 1952 and June 1953.

Actually, 225551 is the last serial number listed in Anvils of America, so yours might be one of the last Trentons ever produced.

To me, it does not look like an "N" in the middle of the marking. - In the book Anvils in American - a mention of "REXTON" is a possible English manufacturer or trademark. To me it looks more like Rexton. -JK
