Dan W
Good luck today. Ask a friend last friday what her ferrier did with his old hoof rasp. 'throws them away' she said. 'tell him I'll take them off his hands and use them in my forge' I say. This evening my wife who works at the local ACE hardware store brought me a box of 10 used horse hoof rasp that our friend dropped off and tells me this is just what the man had in the back of his truck and there will be a few more coming as soon as the man cleans his shop. Lots of knives, hawks atc... there.
Johannes
I hope for you that that farrier is one who uses old fashioned rasps, cause the newer and cheaper ones ar'n good quality steel, but instead just case hardned mild steel, you could make a thing or two out of them, but they'l, be no good for a knife. regards
Dan W
Dang, never thought of that. I guess I'll find out the first time I try to do something with one. Live N learn
ThomasPowers
The "new" ones work even better for rasptlesnakes though!
