The Leidenfrost Effect is a wonderful thing.

Leidenfrost effect might do the trick but my bet is walking barefoot your whole life AND removing scale with your feet professionally would be the more likely reason he can do this.

Think I'll stick with my wire brush, hand and powered.

Well i grab by accident black heated metal and it show mark on my hand, i must admit later after day i dont feel pain in that spot but cause thats part of skin is probably dead until new one come.
But he did what i cant imagine.

Oh black hot steel is the worst, it sticks to you and the burn goes deep! Yellow hot steel literally vaporizes the skin in contact and the steam explosion tends to help motivate you to LET :o GO!

Last time I picked up black hot steel it took maybe a month for the skin to grow back.
