Wife’s aunt sent me a picture of this thinking it is blacksmith related.  Looks to be a set of saws and jewelry files.  Any seen or used something like it.   

That is what it looks like an incomplete jewelers saw with some files. This is one that my grandfather left to me, that was stolen in the '80s.

 

The thing nearest the camera could be a hand vise.  You squeeze the ends together over something and slide the collar down to hold the jaws in place.  Or, Irondragon may well be correct that it is the handle of a jewler's saw.

Looks like junior sawblades to me. 

I also have a couple. Have yet get a holder for them

  Some of those files look like they have a section that have been ground round, almost like they could be gripped in that handle.
