PNW_Sparky
Finally picked up a London pattern anvil to replace my ASO. I believe this 164lb anvil is a Trenton based on the serial number format and general shape. However, it is missing the logo. Can anyone confirm my suspicions? Also curious what members think this is worth per pound based on the condition. Thanks!
Daswulf
Either a Trenton or Hay Budden. Both had similar weight and serial number stamps on that front foot.
Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Welcome from the Ozark mountains. Looking at the first picture enlarged, it looks like a partial Trenton diamond. How is the ring and rebound?
PNW_Sparky
Ring is loud and clear, rebound seems good. Havent had a chance to test it out yet.
Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Most Hay Budden's I have seen have the weight stamped on the side below the name. Trenton's put the weight on the front foot.
ThomasPowers
What does the base look like? Caplet indentation: Trenton or Arm and Hammer Hourglass indentation: Hay Budden

ThomasPowers
Definitely a Trenton; I do have an Arm and Hammer with a caplet indentation; but it's clearly stamped and Postman said there were a few examples where they "shared" bases.
