Crow713
Hey all. Im here hoping to learn some new things and hopefully becaome better at the trade. Got myself a small forge which isproving to be a bad idea. Its too small to and to learn to forge. Any tips from anyone to help with my forging til i can aquire a new bigger forge. Been working with rebar mostly. Having to cut it down into super small pieces just to work with it and fit it into my forge.

swedefiddle
Good Morning, Crow Welcome to this world. There is no wrong size for a Forge, as long as it gets your metal HOT. You don't need a bigger Forge, you just need to be able to use what you have. I have made a Forge from some broken brick pieces and a tiny Propane torch that some use to solder with. There is a very strong Blacksmith Association in Florida, hook up and learn. It will take a bit of patience and perceverance, but it is worthwhile. ThomasPowers
Small size American rebar tends to be a pain to work; I'd suggest finding some A-36 or even if you can find it 1020 or 1018!
