January 18, 20215 yr Hi I acquired a massive mill vise. When I mean massive... it ways about 150 lbs. The width of the jaws 8 inches and opens to over a foot. I cannot find any marking of what model or brand it is. So that’s why I’m here.
January 18, 20215 yr That is a brute. Depending on how hard those blocks are it could make a good combination anvil and vise. How fast is the thread? Does it seem you have to crank the handle a lot or a little to move the jaw? Sorry, I can't help you with the ID. "By hammer and hand all arts do stand."
January 18, 20215 yr Author It surprisingly turns and moves very smoothly. The only thing is when I want to expand the jaws further I have to move a huge pin at the bottom. Good idea with the vise/anvil combo!
