Torch_carsoncity
I am just starting out in this trade, so don't persecute me too bad. I was wondering if any of you have ever tried to work with Hastelloy-C in regards to knife making? I know that it has a high nickel content. That's about all I know about this metal. Thank you
ThomasPowers
Should make great fittings---guards, bolsters, pommels and terrible blades, extremely low carbon content.
Frosty
Welcome aboard Torch, glad to have you. If you'll put your general location in the header you'll have a chance of hooking up with members living within visiting distance. Don't worry, we believe in cutting new folk some slack, the site has a sort of wavy learning curve. However if we do feel the need to persecute you we'll give you a good thorough persecution, why bother doing a bad one? Definitely keep the Hastelloy, it's good for lots of things you don't want to corrode, just not blades. Frosty The Lucky.
ThomasPowers
I'd say "not just blade fittings" as it won't make a good blade.
