GMoore Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 I see Vevor grinders - 82" belts - for sale. What is plus or minus of 82" vs. 72". Looking for GOOD grinder, 1.5 HP +, variable speed, three wheel, under $1,000, if possible. Does anyone know about Vevor brand. Quote
Steve Sells Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 may want to check availability of belts before you buy Quote
Irondragon Forge ClayWorks Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 That's the plus with 72 inch belts and the minus with 82 inches. Not only availability but cost, number of suppliers and shear number of different grits wit the 72 inch belts. Quote

It appears to be on the low end of the quality spectrum. The "inverter" they use is not rated for dusty or industrial environments and they specifically tell you that it must be protected to keep particles out of it. At the very least you would need to build an enclosure to keep the grinding debris out if you wanted it to last. Pheer brand grinders are only a little more expensive and get reasonably good reviews.
