Latest Anvil....my #2 Pride And Joy

Featured Replies

This is my latest addition to the collection. According to Mr. Postman, he has only ever come across one of these. It is marked "SMITHS"

Real nice Anvil, I like the long horn. Tthe way the feet are made, reminds me of Mousehole and early English Anvils. Mousehole Anvils had a definite influence on Anvil Designs.

Funny that you read SMITHS.

I thought it read SANTA'S. I'm guessing that since everything is electronics and plastic he didn't need it. Or one of the elves had to have an adult beverage.

Nice anvil. How did you come across it?

Santa or Smith, I like that big horn. It looks a little out of proportion but will be a pleasure to work on. Nice find.

Does look like it could be SANTA'S anvil.

Unless you like to maintain the mystery, this would be a perfect time to take a rubbing and see what it really says.

Nice looking anvil. Of course, Santa would have nothing less would he?

I agree but I thought Santa had elves using little tack hammers and such, not anvils. Of course I suppose Santa has to be prepared for anything. maybe this means he has a NEW Santa's Super Special anvil now!

Heck, I'm tickled pink to snag any smithing tools locally. Mighty scarce here abouts.
