When all folks new to the trade find them used and rounded off slightly, they're that way for a reason. Ordinarily I'd never show or condone taking an angle grinder near an anvil but in this case I can assure everybody this guy knows exactly what he's doing and why. George Quote
ThomasPowers Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Well I'd quibble about the heating and cooling comment..it's the work hardening that's improving the surface as it never gets heated hot enough to even draw temper... I've quoted the section from "Practical Blacksmithing" published 1889 about not having sharp edges on an anvil multiple times here; but it's good to have a Youtube version out there too! Quote
