jdubya
Hoping someone with a AIA book can help me find a date on my 110# Trenton anvil. The serial number is A20761. Thanks in advance!

Frosty
IF you can't position the anvil or lights to get oblique lighting try putting a single ply of tissue paper over the flash to diffuse it. rubbing it with chalk or charcoal and wiping the surface off will help define the marks. stxsmith
I am also looking for a date on my Trenton anvil. 100# serial# 228809. I inherited from my dad and have worked with it for years but I just recently started looking into the brands and quality of an anvil. I guess I just never thought about it before thanks
tmgregg
Hello, I just purchased a 200# Trenton from a retired welder who was tired of tripping over it in his garage. Very nice! The serial # in the picture seems to be 221729, and the logo is in the second picture. From previous posts, I'm guessing this dates it back to around 1930? Does the serial # suggest a specific year? Thanks for all the info in these pages, Tim
