Just got this and am excited to try it out but I am concerned about this void. Anyone have an opinion?

    Yes, this is probably caused by an air bubble. Is it large enough to cause a problem? My only other wheel is a 4 inch and has no blemishes of this size so I have no experience by which to judge.

    Is it a new wheel?  Call the seller.

    If it's an old wheel, use it and see!  My 10" contact wheel is serrated with deep channels in it crossing the face at an angle---it's from a professional grade grinder, a Bader, Most of the good quality belts I use would never notice your little blip.
