Gary 1963
Well I read a knife making book that said I couldn't make something that hasn't been made a thousand times before. So I decided to try, I came up with this concoction. Let me just say I'm a lineman working all types of poles, so I needed a plumb bob knife for setting poles then working cables. I started with a 440 c piece of steel, shaped with 4-1/2" grinder, heat treated, then attached a fuse end and wood from a crossarm and a copper bolster from a 600 amp pole switch then finished with a sheath made from my Georgia Boots!! I haven't found another one Good luck all with your projects!!

stoney4325
very cool. i like the idea of making things from acquired material and really being used. not only cheaper but seems to have more meaning to me.
ThomasPowers
I had a friend who used a brass plumb bob as a pommel on a celtic sword...
Kevin Olson
To me that is the best thing ever. Built from things you use then put back to work for your job. Awesome !!!!!!
