Firemn260
I just snagged this blower that im guessing was used to move contaminated air out of a fallout shelter. Seems like it will move some big air and may be a bit big for my little brake drum coal forge. Was wondering if anyone could provide some info on it. Daswulf
Did you get it Out of a fallout shelter? yup looks a bit big for a brake drum forge. Dosnt mean it couldn't be used for one if you wanted to.

Daswulf
Ok. That's pretty interesting. So is it Both hand crank and motor powered? How much air does it push when lightly hand cranked? Sorry I don't have any info on it. Just curious.
Firemn260
Yes but I havnt plugged the motor in yet to see if it works. The hand crank seems to move air pretty well though. I think I'll just fab up a damper to restrict some air flow and try it on my forge. Better than a hair dryer I guess
ThomasPowers
Check the gears; some of the CD blowers were engineered for fairly low usage; I don't recall if Buffalo was one of them. I'd can the electric option unless you are running a very large forge for large items. I much prefer the control of a hand cranked blower!
