Made a incense burner thingy today. Out of 3/8in flat stock. I tried to make a feather but it ended up looking like a leaf. I hot cut the veins before I used a grinder with a cut off wheel to cut them out and widen them before I did the final work with a standard grinding wheel. 

Cool design. It'll be going in my inspiration folder.  

 

I like it, well done. It needs a little more length to catch ashes but other than that I think it's very marketable. Leaf, feather, hand, etc. would all look good. Cool idea, how about a demo at the next meeting?

Frosty The Lucky.

I tired it out on a few different incense my fiancé has and it seems to be the perfect length. But it does need to be a bit longer. I'll see about doing a demo at the next meet. I'll need to find more flat stock and sharpen my chisel.
