bigb
Saw these today at Tucson Iron & Metal, pretty sure they are some grade of stainless. I got some round ones a while back but these are much bigger.
C-1ToolSteel
Just how big are they?
bigb
They're about 10 x 10 and a foot long. That front board on the pallet is a 1 X 6 Lots of goodies to be had there. 40 cents/LB
Rmartin2
I have seen something very similar to those stainless blocks at my scrapyard. I did a bearing test on it and I would say it was around 60-70%. The question is how good of an anvil will stainless be? How well do your round ones hold up? The block at my yard is probably between 200-300# so I didn't ask about it because it seemed it would be too much of a pain to move it around, but I have wondered about it from the moment I saw it. bigb
My round pieces are good for small stuff but they do have cut rings in them I need to polish out, it imprints on the copper I use them for.
