It is not all about where the product is made, but more about quality control, and how the company stands behind the product that matters. There are many companies that sell a cheaper import version of their product at big box stores, and a pro quality in specialty stores. I promise you that the folks making their living in the trades buy the best that they can afford. A hobbiest is not financially ruined if his weekend plans fall through.
