Judson Yaggy
Anyone have a surge protector for their welder? I didn't worry about thunderstorms much when I had an old school copper wound beast, but my fancy new inverter/electronic power unit is perhaps a little more sensitive to surges? Try to remember to unplug it when I leave the shop but don't always. Recommendations for 240v 60 amp single phase surge protectors anyone? arkie
I don't use a surge protector for my inverter welder. I keep it unplugged (so I don't have to remember to do that) and plug it in when needing to weld; unplug when finished...just like turning off the lights. That doesn't cost any $$ either.
