Rodburner
I just bought anew old Trenton anvil. Stamped on side with Trenton USA and a medallion that says solid wrought. On foot is stamped Z152 A26865. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
phabib
Another request for Trenton dating if someone has the Postman book. My nephew just got a Trenton serial number 217515 on the right side of the foot. On the left is maybe a 75, maybe Z5. Thanks.
EJRailRoadTrack
The left side of Trentons are the weight, so my Trenton says A151 so that means it is 151 pounds. As for MFG date I don't know, I tried running some searches but came up empty. -EJ
NoName
Hello, Rod looks like A26865 is a 1896 vintage, from A.I.A. Then the nephews 217515 is from 1947 or 1948. NNF.
Black Frog
phabib, please post a closeup picture of the side logo and serial number if you could, I'd like to add it to the logo database. Trenton had many variations of their logo stamp over the years. I'm trying to figure out serial number ranges that went with each logo stamp style. Each sample helps! phabib
Thank you for the dating information. His anvil looks like it came to him via a time machine. Its either hardly been used or expertly repaired. I'll get a picture of the logo and numbers when I next see my nephew.
