nictaylor0
Greetings to all blacksmiths I got this power hammer almost 3 years ago and am busy rebuilding it. The leaf springs aren't original and are way too stiff for the 50lb head. If anyone out there knows what make this is or has any info on it can you please let me know. It would be much appreciated. I'm in South Africa and haven't been able to find anyone here that knows much about this....
Andrew T
I don't know the make, but might it be a high speed cutlers hammer? It does look like the top of the ram might hit the spring clamp.
Judson Yaggy
Looks like a Desiel & Eisenhart a guy around here has, but being in SA could throw my guess way off. Pretty nice bone yard that has a couple of those lying around in it!
patrick
It reminds me of the Goliath hammer which I think was made in England.
Andrew T
Not the same frame but the ram has the same secondary die holder, guides, motor mount, linkage and grooved pulley. The photo is from this post, check out the video, hammer is run very fast. I can't seem to post a link. Search for "hattersley and davidson power hammer"
