Digr
I built a hand tapper and found that my drill press vise was a bit big so I built this one using the lathe.

irnsrgn
Very nice work, you are gonna love that step at the top. I have milled the step into the old drill press vices I have. Only change I would make is to mill a vertical V in the stationary jaw to hold round stuff from spinning and a quick way to make sure its 90 to the jaw in the upright position. Digr
Thanks I wanted the V but the only way I could figure to have done it on the lathe was to have set up a milling attachment and have two separate pads on each jaw and milled a 45 on one end.
Brian C.
Digr, I thought that name & vise looked familiar. Madam X has spies everywhere. :)
