pintail1
Acquired an Atha ball pein hammer that look to be NOS: has paper Atha sticker on handle.New to smithing and have a rounding hammer, a few cross pein hammers, etc. and recently got some tongs (good deal cause I also sold spare Pexto 36" finger brake for a whole lot more than the tongs cost)Like the hammer, but is this a keeper or an ebayer (collectors seem to like this kind of thing): If I make a few bucks I can get something I need more. Thanks for the advice! VaughnT
It wouldn't hurt to put it up for auction. You want a hammer to use, but collectors might pay a pretty penny for an old hammer that still has the tags on it. Maybe, maybe not, but nothing lost by trying. Personally, I'd start the bidding at $30 just to make it worth your while. If you get that much, great. If it goes higher, even better. Arbalist
Looks like a nice hammer to me, I'd keep it and use it unless you particularly like buying and selling tools.
