An H B?

Yes, Hay Budden Brooklyn NY  I was using it last Saturday in the blacksmithing class I teach.

HB made anvils from 10 lb to 800 lb.  The weight was stamped in after they were made and weighed.

Hay Budden made over 300000 anvils; yours is in very excellent shape.  Just working hot steel on it will polish the face all it needs.  I have an HB I was using tonight: 134# that was stored in an unheated shack near a swamp in Ohio for 50 years.  It has fine pitting from condensation over the entire face.  The sweet spot is now smooth and shiny just from forging on it.  I expect my 165# one will clean up as well with more use---doesn't get carted around to day long forge classes and at home I'm more prone to use my 515# Fisher.

I have two Hay Buddens, 112# and 163#. The heavier one has two pritchel holes.
