Hi rescued an anvil got it for $10.00. Says pat March 26 1895 12 inch long 3 inch wide and 6 1/2 inch tall probably 10 or 15 pound. Trying to identify it. 1st time trying to post pictures don't know why they are up side down. Thanks Chris 

Part of an anvil/vise combo. And you paid full market value for it in that condition.

 NOT for real blacksmith use, as it is just cast iron with no steel face. Might be OK for jeweler's bench use with soft metals if you polish the face.

what do you plan to do with the creosoted lumber?  Or did you mean rail?
