Built this stand this morning for my post vise and sheet metal stake. 10 x 10 x .625 I beam. Legs are  2x2x.375 tubing. Should be able to withstand the West Texas wind.

Well built.  Won't it move around a little when working on the vise?  

Moves around too much. Plan on addressing that in the a.m.

got one of my big vises bolted to a telephone pole buried 5' deep and concreted in the hole---doesn't move much in use.  However as it is the support pole for one of the roof trusses for the shop it is a tad noisy in heavy hammering---the neighbor's alfalfa doesn't seem to mind...
