Everything Mac
Hi guys, spotted this on eBay. Thought it was worth sharing. Looks very like a fisher. Marked "Canadian blower and forge co." I'm sure I've heard them mentioned on here but just thought I'd share. Certainly rare over here. It is actually within driving distance but I don't need it. All the best Andy
njanvilman
I personally would also like to know more about this anvil/make. I know Australian BK anvils also had the 'Fisher' lugs, but I am not aware of any others. Anyone out there know more about this company, or was the anvil made by someone else for them? Black Frog
Looks exactly the same as the Buffalo Forge Co. anvil Postman mentions on page 139 of AIA..... Guessing the same make as they both have a horn that blends into the body.
matto
I hope it is not welded out. It sure looks like the lug bolts are welded and that the base is welded to the stand.
PaulKrzysz
I'm pretty sure these are cast iron from the other threads about them.
Klammer
Seen a lot of these for sale over the years here. All of them had massive wear / damage to them. As per the above they must be cast iron.
