Graham Gates(Ionic Muffin)
I'm interested in finding out if there is an abundance of heavy steel objects that would serve as an anvil out in rural WY or other places like that. I'm out here in WY during school and thought that if I could find an anvil out here then I would be in ship shape. I've already started looking around and asking some people I know but my main concern is whether or not the odds of finding a nice hunk of steel out here would be high or not. I leave at the end of April so I have a bit of time to look around. I am in the riverton lander area(but live in lander)
Frosty
Try contacting heavy equipment repair and rental outfits, there are lots of good heavy steel parts on heavy equipment that make fine anvils. Frosty The Lucky.
DSW
Mines and quarries often have a lot of heavy steel objects that are part of mining equipment or crushers that may be useful.

Frosty
You know how to use the yellow pages? While I know where Kitsap County is I LIVE in Alaska, nor is Philly close, OR a reference to a baby girl horse. Be polite when you talk to them, maybe show up with a box of donuts some morning. Graham Gates(Ionic Muffin)
Yep, I always think that being polite is really the only way to go. As to my Location, its a bit incorrect right now because my main location this summer is Kitsap but I am currently In Fremont County Wyoming. Rockram
There are lots of coal mines in that area just follow some of the trucks when they're loaded they will take you to the mill area. Look for a local Cat Dealer they have tons of heavy scrap.
