Admanfrd
Should i heat treat and or temper a hammer after it has been forged and grinded? The alloy will either be 1045 or 4140 or whatever car axle is available. And if so, how? Thanks!
ThomasPowers
Heat to the proper temperature for the alloy used. Quench in the proper quenchent for the alloy used Temper to get the wanted properties for the alloy used. Look up the alloys and find out their forging and heat treating specs
