Found me a 3 1/2" post vise.  Has a mount welded to it, but it works and only set me back $15.  Woot!  Woot!

    Excellent price!  I don't think I've ever seen a vise that size go for less than $50.

     

    I'd cut that mount off and build a "proper" mount for it.  It needs a new spring, anyhow.  Might as well cover all your bases while you're tinkering.

    I have never yet found ANY blacksmithing equipment at a yard/garage sale. And I look at everything every time and I always ask if the have any blacksmith stuff for sale. Maybe it is just the area we live in.
