Howdy all. Haven't had much time for blacksmithing this past year because of work. But things are slowing down now and I've been able to fire up the forge quite a bit. I found I had to relearn much of what I'd already learned because it had been so long! LOL!

Here is a photo of my most recent work.post-24246-0-71989400-1373112723_thumb.j

I like those twisted ones. Glad to hear your forging again...I know how it can be with work. I wish I could do it everyday(heck, even professionally) so far I can only get around to doing it twice a week. :(

Good to hear from you again Nick. A funny thing about the learning curve, if you stop climbing you slide back. Good thing forging is so much fun to relearn eh?

The hooks look good and they'll keep looking better as you climb.

I'm just learning forging, this is a very interesting job, your  hooks look  very good

Greetings Nick,

Lookin good ...  I bet is great to get back to forging..   Just a thought...  Try to flatten the round stock to a oval shape and than a twist for your next hook..

Forge on and make beautiful things.

Jim

Greetings from Joplin. I also have trouble getting the forge lit as much as I would like. I think that means it has become an addiction.
