Faber
So I was wondering if any of you have any fun traditions for your birthday that's blacksmith related. Seeing as how mine is coming up in a week I wanted to incorporate something fun/interesting to do. If it was up to me I'd either just forge or make an anvil shaped piñata and makeshift sledge hammer bat/stick....and after I break it coal would come out. :D
mike-hr
Dry rub pork ribs over smoke, and a good single malt. Hey, don't wait 'till your birthday, any Wednesday will do.
Faber
That's funny you mention the dry rub ribs, my wife just ordered that the other day for dinner. lol. I think I might enjoy my pipe with my good rum. :) mmmmm
iron woodrow
i like the piñata idea! but maybe licorice instead of coal??
Naz
Well this is not a tradition but I thought it might be funny to post here... A friend of ours made me this awesome cake for my 40th birthday... How many out there can say they ate an anvil for dessert, then cleaned out the stuck pieces of it on their teeth with a hammer handle ??? Faber
Nice, what was the anvil made out of? Sweet iron perhaps? :P
