WT & F Post Vise

Featured Replies

Picked up a new to me WT & F Co, 4" Post Vise off off CL.  It seems to be in pretty good condition.  The threads looks good and the jaws close tight.  I was happy to get it for $75.  It is for sure it is in better shape than the one I have which has a replacement screw box.  For curosity sake, about what years were these made?

Thanks,

Ken

No ideas on when WT & F was in business?

Ken

I looked in my big "Directory of American Toolmakers" and I found no W.T.&F. It resembles somewhat a Quikwerk made in Warren, Ohio.

Thanks for looking.  I have seen several on e-bay so I did not think the company to be that rare.

All I was able to find is this catalog title, property of the Ohio Historical Society, no year given:

Quikwerk Forged Tools, Catalog No. 7: Warren Tool Corporation Successor of the Warren Tool & Forge Co

Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot. Out

Warren Tool and Forge Co. is more than I knew before.   With that info I was able to find a couple of references to them in the 1920s.

Thanks very much for looking.
