Razzputin
This is my first scrolled candle holder, it took me about an hour to make because I put the cup on the wrong side twice and also made the pin to small to rivet the cup to the body. It is about 30cm across. All done without scrolling tongs, which I made later that day after realizing I actually needed them.
John B
My concern with these are their stability in use, particularly if a tall candle is used. If you split and spread the ends out that would increase its footprint, and make it more stable The cup looks like it has been forged, but the scroll could have been done cold, tapered scroll ends would look more in keeping with the forged look, otherwise its just a bit of bent flat bar, It's a good first attempt, but aspire to develop your forging skills, scrolling tongs are an aid, but not as essential as good forging skills which come with practise, a little 'hands on' guidance also helps Keep at it and you will get there.
