John B Posted April 11, 2013 Share Posted April 11, 2013 Whiilst looking a fine job, IMHO I would have placed the slot vertical as the way it is at the moment, it is forming a weak spot with a potential to bend easily This may create problems with the way you are securing the joint, but his could be overcome quite easily. SoCal Dave Posted April 12, 2013 Author Share Posted April 12, 2013 thanks John B, I had thought about this very thing, so I left the center section as thick as possible for the very same reasons you mentioned. The center sections are designed to just keep the legs vertical, and the majority of the structure and support will come from the top. I forgot to mention that the table is an end table that will hold a animal skull with large horns and will only be 14 inch by 14 inch square.
