CleetisMorgan
Being from MI, I'd love to buy a Mankel anvil. Other than watching Craigslist, does anyone know a good place to pick one up?
Jack Evers
I suspect you could google up a contact for Ken Mankle and ask him. This is the last info that I have. May be out of date. I still have a Mankle "Horseshoer's special + 4 forge that I bought in the middle 70's. Mankel Blacksmith Shop Box 29A, 7836 Cannonsburg Rd Cannonsburg MI 49317. Phone: 616/874-6955. Fax: 616/874-4053.

hfsmithy
Tim Carr bought all the parts and forges and I belive the rights to the name so I would contact him for info. He is Vise President of the Michigan Artist Blacksmith assn. His contact info should be on that web site.

Jeff Lodge
You could also go to the MABA christmas party on the 1st of December and talk to him there. I imagine Tim and Kathleen will be in attendance. Also, here's Tim's website http://www.blackbearforgemi.com/
william blunt
just accepted onto this site. i used to work at a steel foundry in pigeon michigan that made mankel anvils. i made the sand molds, and helped process them in various departments right up to final inspection and shipping them. i havent worked for this company in over 20 years now, so i dont know if they still produce them. Jim Coke
Tim is not the Vice President any more and Kathleen is no longer secretary. Go to the MABA WEB SIGHT FOR CORRECT INFO. And they have not made anvils in years. Jim
