2Tim215 Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Your knives are really improving and that Damascus is NICE!!! Just some advice on the handles. When I started I also used to keep my handles very flat and 2D. Take a look at Mr Loveless's knives (Loveless the knife maker not the penguin ;) ) Thin at the guard, thicker in the middle and thinner at the back and keep the top of the back of the handle sharper and always make sure the top and belly are round for comfort. I used to think that the handle must follow the thickness of the guard, this is not the case and a fuller handle looks good and feels good. Keep on improving, every one you do is getting better and better. Quote
Loneforge Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 Thanks Tim for the compliments and the pointers. I have the handle expanding slightly as it approaches the end. I have also adopted a Coke Bottle style to a few of my handles....Every tip counts and this is why my work is improving. Many thanks to all who have offered insights and tips.....You all know who you are....Thanks Quote
