Sam Salvati Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 What are some good websites to get high quality grinding belts, in a wide range of grits from low to very high, for 2x42 belt grinders? Thanks. Quote
Mike Turner Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Here you go Sam.Abrasives, buffers, grinders, handle material, knife making suplies and moreAbrasive belts from many name brands from TruGrit.com Quote
keykeeper Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Sam, In the past, I have bought some kits and such from Jantz Supply. Link is Jantz Supply - Your source for knifemaking! They are pretty good to deal with, not bad prices. They have a lot of different items tailored to knifemaking. They also sell on eBay through a store there, which is where I purchased most of my kits. You might also try MSC direct at MSC Industrial Supply Co. Home Page Aaron Quote
Kristopher Skelton Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 I've been buying my belts from Supergrit.com and they've been nothing but awesome. The website is great, the pricing and shipping have been very good. Quote
me miller Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Pop's Knife Making Supplies! is a good place. Top grade belts and good A/0 belts that are cheaper Quote
gerald Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I get mine from Jantz Supply (Davis, OK) also. They are good folks to deal with and are right down the road from me. Quote

Sam Salvati Posted April 25, 2007 Author Posted April 25, 2007 If enough blades sell from this big batch I have, after I get a chance to finish them, then I will, if not, then Sears it is. Quote
plain ol Bill Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I prefer tru grit myself but where doesn't matter as much as what kind. Remember the old saying "you get exactly what you pay for!" and it sure holds true for belts. Quote
oakwoodforge Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 I'm with Bill, Tru-Grit is a great place to deal with, My last several belt orders have been with them , they get 5 stars in My book. I recomend the Norton Norzon and Norton Blaze belts they last and work fast. Don't buy hardware store brown A/O belts they just don't last with HC steel. Jens Quote
