August 6, 201213 yr Hi, My name is Eric and I am new to blacksmithing. I became interested after I built a couple straight razors using the "stock removal" method on flat bar. I have picked up a 100 lb anvil, a couple of related tools and im using my HT kiln for heat. Looking forward to interacting with everyone and maybe being able to contribute information someday. Anyways, Im off to get some ideas for a propane forge. Thanks, Eric.
August 6, 201213 yr Good Morning, Ontario Artist Blacksmith Association. Most members are in Ontario, I am the lost sheep in Victoria, B.C. www.ontarioblacksmiths.ca CanIRON is underway for 2013, Quebec (city?) see and watch www.caniron.ca All the previous CanIRON events are available from the web-site except CanIRON I which was in 1997 BC (Before Computor internet became as popular as today). Don't be shy, there are lots of other people in Ontario in the Blacksmith World. Neil Gustafson
August 6, 201213 yr Where about in Ontario? We have a big province. It is definitely worth joining OABA. You will learn a lot at meetings and will likely find members who live local to you who you can learn more from. There is a meeting next week. Novembers meeting is here at my shop.
