Chris Jones
the ultimate question - I've just bought one in Ebay - there are lots there but they tend to be spread around the country a bit and so finding one you an afford close enough to pickup is the difficulty. You could check for 'Farm dispersal sales' these are auctions where the farm equipment is being sold off, I've seen 2 with anvils in them so far this month. Or you could splash out and buy one new from vaughans - www.anvils.co.uk That's all i can think of. Chris
Glenn
Do a search on IForgeIron for TPAAAT. Put it to use and not once, but every opportunity you get. Keep us informed on your search.
macbruce
There's more than I wanted to count on ebay. Here's one that looks way too good to waste away in someone's garden...... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Antique-Anvil-Super-Garden-Ornament-Length-635mm-/180881813649?pt=UK_Antiques_Architecural_RL&hash=item2a1d657091
Dan P.
Ebay! We are blessed with anvils in the UK. Even if you have to drive an hour to pick one up, it's not something that you are going to have to do that many times in your life.
