SoCal Dave
I have been in contact with someone with a 50 lb Little Giant. I've been dealing with a couple of people and they don't know if the motor is a three phase of single phase motor. It is 240v but not wired at this time. Does any one know what phase this type of hammer motor might be? They are researching that info now but didn't have that handy.
WayneCoeArtistBlacksmith
The motors were provided by the buyer so the motor may be almost anything.
peacock
Can't be answered with the facts you have given us(none). The tag that told the voltage will have the ph also.
clinton
I would not be too concerned about the motor, easy to replace or use phase converter. Although you can use that as a bargaining advantage. Tell the guy, "Oh man 3 phase I will need to get a new motor, oh boy that will set me back" get him to knock off a couple hundred bucks for that "New motor"
