In my town there are very few resourses for good steel. i have access to rr spikes and rebar and those are the best around. can anyone tell me where i can go online to find some 1090 or something like it. thanks.

i forgot to mention, it would help me if it was round bar. i hate working with flat. i know it seems a little picky, but it's my preference.

Almost any of the knifemaker's supply places will carry blade steels.

The great thing about Kelly is the steel barstock is free UPS ground on orders over $100.

Drill rod is commonly available as W-1 with around 1% C. That would be about 1090 in round. A search should reveal many sources. I believe Aldo has some round, although I don't know it the sizes he carries is what you may be looking for.
