blackravenforge
i forgot to mention, it would help me if it was round bar. i hate working with flat. i know it seems a little picky, but it's my preference.
ThomasPowers
Almost any of the knifemaker's supply places will carry blade steels. Aldo the NJ steel baron is not that far from you---I used to drive from mid NJ to Cornell... http://njsteelbaron.com/ his store shows 1095 and 1095D
bigfootnampa
Old mower blades or files, discs or harrow teeth. If you can use drops try Maddy's Mom on e-bay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/170711185092?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

fluidsteel
Aldo is the man. Especially if you are close enough to pick it up from him. For 1080, 1095 and CruForge V you can order from Kelly Cupples. Octihunter@charter.net e-mail Kelly and he'll send you a current price list The great thing about Kelly is the steel barstock is free UPS ground on orders over $100. son_of_bluegrass
Drill rod is commonly available as W-1 with around 1% C. That would be about 1090 in round. A search should reveal many sources. I believe Aldo has some round, although I don't know it the sizes he carries is what you may be looking for. ron
