myloh67 Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 I have'nt posted any work in a while, made use of an Iron fence upright in this work, lovely to forge. It is mechanically mounted on a charred oak pinth with patinated bronze footing. Size 30cm high and same in length. Quote
iron woodrow Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 i like it. the use of traditional techniques always brings a real honesty to the work. Quote
Ric Furrer Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Remonds me of the cave paintings in Lascuax. Do you happen to know Peter Fallon in Galway? I worked with him when he lived in the States. Ric Quote

myloh67 Posted March 7, 2012 Author Posted March 7, 2012 Remonds me of the cave paintings in Lascuax. Do you happen to know Peter Fallon in Galway? I worked with him when he lived in the States. Ric Ric I've never met him but will keep my eye out for him, having said that have met "basher", he occasionally runs a course from ours. Thank you all for the kind remarks. It is true in my book, to avail of traditional techniques allows each element to have its own identity within the piece. With construction, the excitment comes from how the elements relate with eachother for the whole. When elements are welded and the weld made invisible definition of elements is reduced. For me assembly using traditional technique is refreshingly inspiring again, exciting times ! Quote
Sask Mark Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I really like the way you combine/mix different medias in your sculptures. The way you add wood to your pieces adds to the organic component nicely. Thank-you for posting pictures sir. Quote
Fe-Wood Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Your work is always inspiring in it simple complexity Myloh! This piece is no exception! Would you share a view of the other side? Please? Quote

a62rambler Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 This piece is magnificent! I think eloquent is the best word I can find in my vacabulary. I think Herd Bull better describes this work more than Ox and that is all I would change. Quote
myloh67 Posted March 24, 2012 Author Posted March 24, 2012 Rambler .. I like your suggestion Herd Bull and might have to adopt! Cheers M Quote
