Bear
Finally found a decent sized anvil(150 lb) in my area that i can afford(its actually in west chester) on craigslist made an offer on it and she accepted and now she has someone coming to look at it in a week for full price. Kinda depressing. oh well the search goes on......:(
Candidquality
she probably won't get full price. she'll probably call back asking if you still want it. I'd tell her to suf fit and learn to keep her word, unless she gave another 20% off for being that way. then i'd still let others know how she deals with poeple. we're too used to dealing with honest people with the crowd we run with. final decision's yours, just though i'd stick my nose in for a second. Good luck either way
blkbear
Wait a minute! You made an offer and she accepted. That - in any books constitutes a contract - verbal, but is still just as binding as a written one. Kind of low to go back on ones word once you have agreed on a price. Good luck - I hope you get it. easilyconfused
I was under the impression that once a person accepted and offer, it was yours. I've lost a few classified ads purchases because I waited too late and they accepted an offer close to the asking price. I've also had to wait until the sale closed before they would accept my offer. But I'm no lawyer so I don't know the laws, just experiences.
Blacksmith Jim
Sounds lame. Sorry to hear that Bear. Keep looking, I'm sure something will show up!
