Hi. I'm new to the site and could use some info about a Kohlswa anvil an old family friend asked me to sell for him. It's 125 lbs and appears to be in very good condition with a smooth surface. I don't have a photo of it, but could get one tomorrow. Any idea how much I should ask for it? Is there a way to tell what the age is? I know it was removed from a very wealthy estate back in the 1960s, but I don't know how long they owned it. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Location / condition / size first. Photos are essential. Buyers want to get it low, sellers want to sell high. This site does not do appraisals, but some of us can offer suggestions.

OK, I'll get a photo posted tomorrow. The anvil is in Morristown NJ 07960. It's in very good condition and is 125 lbs. Thanks for your time, I'll be back tomorrow.

Welcome aboard! Here's hoping you decide to buy that anvil and get into the addiction yourself. Pics would be nice.

I got some photos of the anvil today, but couldn't get it cleaned up or get closer photos. Any thoughts on a fair price? Thanks again for everybody's time and input.
