I have been shoeing horses for going on 7 years now, and I have been forging before that but never got serious about it until I made the career change and had to forge everyday. I am on the other end of the state south of Grants Pass or Medford.

Hello everyone

I hope to learn more about blacksmithing from this forum. The park where I work has a blacksmith shop & is used for educational & public programs.

Mike, welcome aboard. Always nice to have a veteran forge man show up here. I try to learn something every day. I just putz around with production work and do forge work for rondy folk and also some for everyday folk as well. Nice shoes you posted. I'm equine challenged but I'm not very politically correct. I know a few things about horses but not much. Every chance I get I learn farrier techniques from guys like you and Tom Stovall and Rich Hale and Bill Epps ( I've probobly forgotten one or 2 as well ). Again, welcome aboard. Nice place to belly up to the fire.

Thanks for the the welcome Ten Hammers. Glad to be here I have been cruising other forums but I am really liking this one because it lets me show off more of my abilities other than a bladesmith. Here I can show off my farrier skills and ornamental side as well.
