December 4, 200619 yr Author thanks.Lookslike yall had a great time at the show.I hated missing it,but it was like it wasnt meant to be(at least this year).with deaths in the family right together,..and a major relocation right at the worst time. Looking at those pics really goes to show we have world-class talent right here in oklahoma!
December 5, 200619 yr Author Not a folded ax,..just a hunkof leaf spring,...the end up-set down into a rectangle and the eye cut with a slitting chisel then drifted out.

January 14, 201016 yr i've seen springs up to 5/8 inch thick on heavy trucks, and there are haevier springs than that on the dump trucks of the coal mining strip jobs around here. in fact the dies on my guillotene tool are 3/8 inch thick overload springs off of a totalled truck. i wish that my dad would have kept half of what he burried when he ran dozer years ago. oh, well
