BIGGUNDOCTOR
Just bought this little 50# anvil, and hoping someone may be able to help ID it. Supposedly came from a mine up in Ely. Rings really good, so I figure it is cast steel. Does not appear to have a top plate, if it does it is about 1/2" thick,as there is a raised side surface all around the top. Picked it up for $60. I was looking for one to go with a mini forge that I picked up a few years ago-table top size-possibly farrier forge?.... Not home , and unable to copy pic, maybe someone else can before it gets deleted. http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/tls/1833198448.html

Tim McCoy
Walt - lets see if this photo loads up - its the anvil we talked about - good buy! It has a raised marking that says "50" on one side. Tim
BIGGUNDOCTOR
Thanks Tim, the 50 is in stylized numerals, not block. The depression in the bottom is a the shape of the base.
