myloh67
Some recent work, just to fit the mesh, steel and bronze.
Fe-Wood
Very nice!! How do you like working Bronze?
myloh67
Thanks Fe, I really love working bronze, but because of cost, large section is hopefully a thing of the future. Its a lot more malleble than steel so textures can be really good especially with high spot polishing. Tig welds good also and then files easy because of its softness. andgott
VERY nice. I love the geometric design.... The bronze also adds a great contrasting texture.
Dillon Sculpture
Beautiful piece, I really like the abstract bronze birds and the bronze rosette, were they done hot?

myloh67
Cheers for all that, I am pleased with the results, small work and fiddly mind, looking forward to getting to grips with larger scaled material. Beautiful piece, I really like the abstract bronze birds and the bronze rosette, were they done hot? Yes the bronze rosette started out as a 40mm disc of 10mm thickness. The tool that they were stamped into was quickly prepared with a slitting disc 1mm thickness and a single heat with 6 taps of the hammer ..result (credit given to my wife here..its her discovery) . The bird elements were 3 pieces welded together.
